Top Onyx, LLC Receives AZPTAC’s 2021 Arizona Success Award
DeWayne Lewis, President/CEO of Top Onyx, LLC, came to AZPTAC in 2018. He had a positive past performance with several prime contractors and decided it was time to seek government contracts.
Lori Haozous is Top Onyx’s specialist. Since DeWayne came to AZPTAC, Lori has helped him with SAM registration, DBE, SBE, HUBZone, and 8(a) certification. He has fulfilled several government contracts.

Manny came to AZ PTAC for information on Government Contracting in 2014, after creating a past performance in a private and local sector. Throughout the years I’ve worked with Manny on creating a roadmap to government contracting; this included his SAM registration, capability statement, CVE certification, and HUBZone certification and marketing to the right agencies. Manny was able to secure subcontract with prime contractors in the federal government arena. Pinal Construction LLC received their first Federal Government prime contractors award in August 2019 with the Department of Interior. Manny’s determination and commitment to provide the highest level of service to his customers have proven his true success. AZPTAC taught Wilbert how to search and read solicitations, develop proposals and capability statements, gain an understanding on how to price service work, and how the contracting process works as a whole. M & A Painting and Drywall, LLC
Based in the small, rural community of Douglas, Arizona, owner Melissa Salcido had several contracts with military bases on the East Coast. Salcido came to AZPTAC to learn how to use bidding and teaming to expand her contract base. Procurement Specialist Bob Mucci counseled Salcido on how to assess potential contracts and review bids. They worked together to complete an application which made M & A Painting and Drywall the only HUBZone certified business in Cochise County and they are currently working on the company’s 8(a) loan application. In just two years, M & A’s revenue has more than doubled from $178,000 to over $423,000.
